This program awards a $10,000 grant to one qualifying woman business owner each
month of the year. One of the monthly qualification grant winners will be awarded an
additional $25,000 by the end of the year. These grant awards are small but can be very
helpful for those working to get their business off the ground.
Arch Grants is a nonprofit organization that is building a new economy by providing
$50,000 equity-free grants and pro bono support services to entrepreneurs who locate
their early-stage businesses in St. Louis. Through its competitive Global Startup
Competition, Arch Grants retains and attracts the most innovative entrepreneurs to the
St. Louis region. This program is an aggressive effort to inspire the next generation of
employers, civic leaders, and philanthropists for St. Louis.
BeyGOOD is on a mission to spread hope. The goal is to provide a lifeline for small
businesses at the epicenter of dual pandemics. BeyGood has teamed up with the
NAACP to expand economic opportunity by awarding grants of $10,000 on the 15th of
each month through the end of 2020. To be eligible for the grant, you must live in either
Houston, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis.
Eileen Fisher Women-Owned Business Grant Program
Fashion designer Eileen Fisher launched the Eileen Fisher Women-Owned Business
Grant Program in 2004. Today, the company awards $200,000 in total grants annually
to nonprofits (maximum $40,000 per recipient). For this award, Eileen Fisher is looking
for nonprofits (or, if you aren’t a nonprofit, businesses with a fiscal sponsor) that have a
positive impact on the environment and rights of women.
Galaxy of Stars Grant
Galaxy of Stars is a directory of minority and women-owned businesses and offers a
grant of $2,500 to eligible applicants to start or grow a business.
NASE Grants for Small Business
Worth up to $4,000 each, NASE Members can apply for small business grants. Small
business grants are useful for financing a particular small business need. Past
recipients used their growth grants for computers, farm equipment, to hire part-time
help, marketing materials, website creation and more.
Nav’s Small Business Grant
Nav’s Small Business Grant awards up to $10,000 to small businesses each quarter.
Applicants are asked for a challenge their business has experienced and how they will
use the funds to solve that challenge.
SoGal Black Founder Startup Grants
SoGal Foundation and Winky Lux have partnered to make a small step towards
progress by providing at least two $10K grants to Black women or nonbinary
entrepreneurs. SoGal and Winky Lux believe in a brighter future where the next world-
changing business does not go unrealized because of systemic discrimination.
Tory Burch Foundation Fellows Program
This Fellows Program provides eligible women running early-stage businesses with a
one-year fellowship, $5,000 grant, workshops at the Tory Burch offices, and the
opportunity to pitch their businesses. In addition to exploring the grants for women
above, you might want to look at small business loans for women as a funding resource.
USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grants (RBEG) Program
USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grants (RBEG) Program provides grants to finance
the development of small and emerging businesses in rural areas. The funds can be
used for land acquisition, construction, renovation, technical assistance, project
planning, and more. The program is a broad based program that reaches to the core of
rural development in a number of ways. Eligible entities include: cities, communities,
state agencies, and authorities), Indian tribes and rural private non-profit corporations
are eligible to apply for funding. At least 51 percent of the outstanding interest in any
project must have membership or be owned by U.S. citizens or resident aliens.
